Miss World Philippines 2016 - Official Candidates
25 beauties vie for 2016 Miss World Philippines
On its
sixth year as Miss World Philippines, the national pageant which
produced the country's very first Miss World, Megan Lynne Young,
presented this year's twenty-five official candidates last Monday, Sep. 5
at the Sampaguita Gardens Events Place in Valencia, Quezon City.
Recently, VIVA Entertainment and CQGQ, Inc. forged a partnership
arrangement to organize and produce Miss World Philippines. National
Director, Cory Quirino, reassured the countless supporters of Miss World
Philippines that the beauty pageant will be managed with as much
dedication and pasion as it was in the last five years - if not more.
Meanwhile, Vic Del Rosario, Chairman of VIVA Entertainment expressed
hope that the teamwork between the two companies will prove to be a
resounding success.
This year, the Miss World Philippines will stage its traditional Gala Charity Event dubbed "Beauty in Giving" on Sep. 20, at the Enderun Tent with Enderun as co-presentor. Beneficiaries are Tuloy Streetchildren Village Foundation and PGH medical Foundation.
Hillarie Parungao, last year's queen and 2016 Miss World top 10 semi-finalist, will crown her successor on the Grand Coronation Night which will be presented live from Manila Hotel via GMA-7 on Sunday, Sep. 25.
Eventual winner will compete with 110 plus candidates worldwide in the 66th Miss World pageant in Washington, D.C. on Dec. 20. Reigning Miss World is Mireia Lalaguna of Spain.
